About Mrs. Helbling
I am a strengths-based school counselor who collaborates with students, families, and faculty to create a healthy and supportive environment for each and every student to flourish.
I have worked with children for over 15 years in educational, recreational, care and volunteer capacities. Working with all ages, from infants to college students, have furthered my enjoyment and drive to stay in this field.
I graduated from Portland State University in June of 2015 with my Masters of Science in Counseling, with a specialization in School Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional School Counselor through the state of Oregon.
Having worked with all grades of student Pre-k through 12th, I enjoy each stage of learning. I am happy to be at the elementary level right now because I love the energy, fun and active learning that happens with ages 5 through 11. I am thrilled to be here at Hammond.
When not working with students, staff, families and the community I enjoy spending time with my family and friends at home and in nature. We like to hike, dress up in costumes, craft and relax.
